      The "Remarks" are very difficult to decipher. The idea is that although Jens and Dorthea lived in Ørsted for one to two years, very few people knew them. When they moved they did not receive (give?) a formal send off and perhaps did not get their certificate until 25 Sept.

      In 1871 Jens moved his family to Salina. The Indians were very troublesome here, stealing their cows and horses. After the Indian scare was over, Jens again moved his family back to Gunnison, where they built a home.
